Excellence is doing your best, giving careful attention to every task and every relationship. Excellence is effort guided by a noble purpose. It is a desire for perfection. The perfection of a seed comes in the fruit. When you practice excellence, you bring your gifts to fruition. Excellence is the key to success.
This virtue reminds me to be present- how often am I distracted by the chore list I have to do, the emails to catch up on, the ongoing needs of family, work and service. Excellence in my opinion requires discipline and deliberate intention. A good reminder to recommit to what it is that has pulled me away from the vision. On this Easter Sunday I am reminded that the voice of our heard is the master designer of our life and to trust the voice within.
