We show respect by speaking and acting with courtesy. We treat others with dignity and honor the rules of our family, school and nation. Respect yourself, and others will respect you.

These are such interesting times- I always say that I think its much harder to be a teen and young adult nowadays. Just social media alone has created an avenue for kids to really get lost if there is not unified parental guidance. So many of these virtues start at home and yet if you’re a single parent sharing custody or if you and your spouse are not on the same page as far as discipline, traditions and upbringing… there is a gap and our kids are getting lost in it.

We seem to be missing the honoring the rules of the family, especially when the family contains multiple homes, rules, guidelines and expectations.

Respect is key, for others and for ourselves. This article has some good ideas about where to start with respect at an early age.
